Citizen Concerns

People for Change knocked on doors and surveyed residents of the City of Laurel. Below are some of the citizen concerns that were expressed to us:

Improvement of the Schools in Laurel (concerned about overcrowding at Laurel High School)
Increase of Taxes and double taxation
More investment in our youth to prevent crime
More diversity on the City Council
No intimidation or use of scare tactics
No harrassment of citizens by the Mayor's Office, City Council or Police Department
Better inclusion and outreach to constituents
Traffic and Speeding
Late notification about referendum and absentee voting by the City--by the time residents received the information from the city it was too late!
